Baked Apple Liquor 4-5 tart apples, core and cut into wedges.Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with 2 tbsp of brown sugar. Add 4-5 whole cinnamon sticks, 5-6 star anise and bake in the oven for 20 min. at about 350F.Place all ingredients in a large mason jar, and cover with at least 1 liter of vodka or apple snaps. Shake jar once daily while letting mix steep for 2 weeks. Strain liquor through sieve and fill into clean bottles.

It is a hit! Best if there are some adults to reassemble when the little ones go crazy pulling the sticks! Balls are from Walmart, about $15 for 100. Sticks are bamboo plant braces from Home Depot that I cut in half. I used wire staples in the boards with zip ties to attach the wire frame so it can be dissembled easily. More
