where I saw this idea online. I tried it and it came out better than expected. Super easy and cheap too. Wrapping paper tube, paper towel tubes and TP tubes. Hot glue (I was amazed that I only used about 3 sticks, flat black spray paint (just the cheap crap) and 3/$1 battery op tea lights from Dollar Tree. Pretty cool and no fire danger.

Our DIY wood crate coffee table! How we did it: We used 4 wood crates from a craft store and some good 1x4s from the hardware store. First we removed the slats from one side of each crate. Then we cut them down to fit the end of the crate so when we turned it sideways, theyd be vertical on the ends of the assembled table. Cut the 1x4s for the top stained everything.
