This trio of coastal decor frames are a versatile beach wall art grouping with fingerling starfish, delicate sand dollars, and knobby starfish. Two frames measure 6 3/8 x 8 3/8 and the larger one measures 7 1/4 x 14 1/4. I have arranged these pieces in different groupings to show their are several different possibilities. Notice the beautiful filigree like border which I painted black then covered with a soft vintage white. I lightly distressed back to the black to highlight and to create a cottage chic or modern vintage look. I discovered recently that starfish not only represent healing and regeneration but also infinite divine love. That being said, it would be most beautiful anywhere in your home where you can be reminded of the love our heavenly Father has for us. This coastal cottage wall art grouping is ready to hang and add beauty and meaning to your decor. When purchasing, please send me a converation via Etsy on how you would like your shells affixed…either vertical or horizontal…maybe a combination of both

where I saw this idea online. I tried it and it came out better than expected. Super easy and cheap too. Wrapping paper tube, paper towel tubes and TP tubes. Hot glue (I was amazed that I only used about 3 sticks, flat black spray paint (just the cheap crap) and 3/$1 battery op tea lights from Dollar Tree. Pretty cool and no fire danger.

In the last few days, I have received several emails and comments asking for a “how to” on how I paint my furniture. Honestly, every piece is different but typically we do the same few steps. I will use my dresser redo to explain things since that is where the majority of the questions came from! You gals are so sweet with all of the compliments! For this piece, it was a dark wood with a glossy lacquer of some sort over top. I started by lightly sanding the dresser to remove some of that shiny junk off… I know, I sound so professional 😉 Then, I wiped off the dust from sanding. This roughened up the wood a bit and since I was using spray paint, I wanted it to stick really well. I also recommend using Gloss Off. You can get it from Home Depot and it helps the paint adhere better. Next, I removed all the hardware and put it in a sandwich baggie so I didn’t lose anything. Losing screws and hardware = not cool. Not like I’ve lost any in the middle of a project or anything 😉 Next, I took all of the drawers …
